OFC hosted this year’s IFQP Seminar from May 12 to May 15 with the participation of 14 members of the aviation community including Air Berlin, Air Lingus, Air France, All Nippon Airways, Cabo Verde Airlines, Emirates Airlines, FEDEX, REPSOL, Saudia Airlines, Tarom and Omni Air Int’l. This seminar’s distinguished lecturers were Mr. Peter Westphal of Lufthansa supported by Mrs. Eva Maschler of Austrian Airlines, who co-operated closely with OFC’s specialized team to provide a training programme comprising both theoretical and practical sessions and meeting the high standards of IATA Trainings. Topics addressed included fuel quality controls, safety fuelling procedures maintenance of fuelling facilities and familiarization with the IFQP Inspection Checklist and procedures for Inspections. As every year, on the closing day, all trainees gave written examinations so to demonstrate their full understanding in IFQP Standards. OFC Aviation Fuel Services SA, has been awarded by the Athens International Airport (AIA) Company, in 1998, for the design, financing, construction and operation of the receiving, storage and distribution via Hydrant Refueling System of aviation fuel facilities for a concession period of 23 years.
